ALPHA
An opportunity to explore the meaning of life...
The letters of ALPHA help describe what happens each night: This free course is 11 weeks long on a Tuesday night at 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm, starts with dinner and includes a weekend retreat. If you need more information, please call the church office at 741-2656.
The Alpha course is an opportunity for everyone to explore spirituality from a Christian perspective. Relaxed, non-threatening, low-key, and fun - Alpha is a place to ask anything-no question is considered too simple or too hostile.
People attend from many different backgrounds, religions and viewpoints. They attend for a variety of reasons. Some want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church all their life, but feel they never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.
Alpha is the course for everyone who thinks there may be more to life than meets the eye.
A -Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith is welcome to come. Whether you're new to Christianity or have been a part of Zion or another church for a long time and have questions, you are welcome to come just as you are.
L-Learning and Laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time...a must at Zion!
P-Pasta and Pie. Of course, we'll eat! We grab a meal together each night to give people an opportunity to relax and get to know one another...and you don't have to cook a thing. It's all provided by the Alpha staff.
H-Helping One Another. The small group time within the program gives you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks each night.
A-Ask anything. No question is regarded as too simple, too hostile, too out of bounds or too silly. Alpha is a safe time to wrestle with what is in your heart and on your mind.
