Friends,

 

I wish you could just ask God questions and get answers right away.  Sort of Magic 8 Ball style.

 

Well I'll be fandangoed!  You can now!  Check out the attachment of Magic Jesus.  You ask him a question, shake him up, turn him over and your answer floats to the top to reveal God's divine answer to your query.  And...he's pink!  Awesomeness.

 

I found this Magic Jesus on the desk of a local Lutheran youth director and it's clear that her successful youth programming, family/mom skills, fantasy football picks and more have been coming straight from the Savior's underside itself!  Pink Jesus has been guiding her through the deeper questions life and ministry with responses like: "I'll still love you" and "It's not righteous" and "Watch out for the lightning" and "No chance in hell!"  I mean, which one of our questions in life couldn't be figured out with one of those one liner gems?

 

Don't you wish you had a Magic Pink Jesus?

 

But sometimes it's not that simple.

 

"Your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:5

 

God gives us something better than one liners...or human wisdom...or even a book written for a long time ago.  God gives us faith in a living Savior, a right next to us Spirit and a living and relevant word in the Scriptures.  Every time we shake up that faith (whether it's with questions about life, relationships, grief, death, hurts, loss, money......you name it!), God answers.  Sometimes quickly.  But sometimes slowly.  Sometimes boldly and in one line from the Bible.  But sometimes it a still small voice over years of reading.  Sometimes in a lightning bolt type experience.  But sometimes in the quiet whispers of a full night of rain.

 

Shake it today and see what answers the power of God has for you!

 

Lord, some answers would be great.  Let them be from you!  Amen
