Mission statement...
Women of the ELCA As a community of women, CREATED in the image of God, CALLED to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and
EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit. We commit ourselves, GROW in faith, AFFIRM our gifts, SUPPORT one another in our callings, ENGAGE in ministry and action, and PROMOTE healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
Purpose: TO MOBILIZE WOMEN to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America - Once a month meeting and social on the second Saturday of the month at 9:00 am, where women develop friendships, have fun, fellowship and food! All members and friends of Zion are invited! There is a devotional, meeting, activity or planning for future events and fundraisers for several charity organizations and ELCA events. They use the time, talents and treasures that God has blessed them with to serve our neighbors around the world.

WOMEN’S BREAKFAST
Our study during breakfast and fellowship will help you experience authentic spiritual growth in several areas of your life and help to start your weekend with a smile. It will consist of a short lesson, followed by related discussion and sharing. They meet on the 4th Saturday of the month at 9:00 am. (Sept. to May)

RAZZLE DAZZLE ZIONETTES- RED HAT SOCIETY
Red Hat members meet once a month for social activities, either as a group from Zion or affiliated with the national organization. All women are invited to attend any activity. This group is comprised mostly of women over 50 - who wear red hats and purple or red attire.
"The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with verve, humor and elan. We believe silliness is the comedy relief of life, and since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next."

MOPS (MOTHER’S OF PRE-SCHOOLERS)
MOPS is an international Christian organization providing Mothers an open, caring and accepting atmosphere where women can come together to find friendship, develop spiritual growth, obtain resources and skills and interact with other adults. Our MOPS group is chartered by Zion, and is organized and run by the mothers of preschoolers. Mentors are mature women who listen, encourage, and offer information and perspectives gained through experience. Meetings focus on areas of common interest, offering inspiration and information that is relevant to the life of a mother. Members and non-members are welcome. The group meets 2 times a month; Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings. During MOPS meetings, children are cared for in a program called MOPPETS, where they are nurtured and experience love in a preschool-like setting.
